The Audubon Library is pleased to offer the following programs this fall:
Roaming Readers Book Club
We are pleased to announce the start of a new program: Roaming Readers. Roaming Readers is a walking, talking book club. Participants read the same book and meet up for a leisurely outdoor walk to discuss the title. This program is open to adult Audubon residents. Registration is required for each installment. Sign up at the library and pick up this month’s book.
October Title: We’ve Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
Location: Audubon Recreation Center
Date & Time: October 27 at 10:00 am
This program will run on a monthly basis. Details for future meetings will be announced via our website, Facebook Page and at the library.
Outdoor Story Time at the Recreation Center!
Outdoor Story Time is a fun and interactive program, presented by the Audubon Public Library, that combines activities such as read-aloud stories, songs, rhymes, and activities.
The program will be held outside the Audubon Recreation Center at the following dates and times:
- Tuesday, September 21 at 6:00 pm (rain date: September 28)
- Wednesday, September 29 at 11:30 am (rain date: October 6)
- Wednesday, October 13 at 11:30 am (rain date: October 20)
- Tuesday, October 19 at 6:00 pm (rain date: October 26 )
- Wednesday, October 27 at 11:30 am (rain date: November 3)
For safety, family groups should be accompanied by one adult only and spaced 6 feet apart to account for social distancing. Masks are required for adults and all children are encouraged to wear a mask.
Interested in attending? Just show up at the Recreation Center at the scheduled date and time. No registration is required. This program is open to Audubon residents and is recommended for children aged 5 or younger.
Need books for your youngsters? No problem, just fill out the online form located here:
We will check out the book bundle and bring it to Story Time for you to pick-up.
This group of crafters meets monthly to talk patterns and projects, share tips and tricks, and, of course, to socialize. Meetings are generally the first Tuesday of each month. Beginners are welcome as are other kinds of crafts. No registration is required. Just show up with your project, ready to stitch!
The Knitting, Crocheting & Crafters Club generally meets the first Tuesday of each month from 1 to 4 pm at the Audubon Senior Center.
Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest
Show Us How Creative You Can Be: Enter our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest!
Deliver your decorated pumpkin to the library between October 4th and October 22nd.
The contest is open to children ages 5 to 17.
Special Prize Categories:
Fancy ● Scary ● Most Original
All participants receive a prize!
Please no carved pumpkins… just decorated.
Winners will be determined at the Board Meeting on October 25, 7:00 pm. Pumpkins & Prizes can be picked up on or after October 26.
